Code of Conduct

We are very aware of our responsibility to our customers and employees. Therefore we have set strict ethical rules for ourselves that guide us in our businesses.

We expect from our business partners, who have a business relationship with a company in the LKE Group, to base their acting on the same ethical principles as the LKE Group. For this reason, LKE has developed the Code of Conduct for business partners which sets the standards for business relationships.

 

Laws and ethical principles
LKE complies with all applicable laws for the company. LKE supports the "Global Compact" of the United Nations, UNO's Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Labour Organisation "Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work" in accordance with national laws and practices.


This applies in particular to:

 

Child labour

LKE does not employ children under 15 years of age. The employment of persons aged 13 to 15 years may not be allowed in any case if the minor is thereby prevented from fulfilling compulsory education or training or if employment harms his health or development. This is particularly true if national laws or regulations permit children to perform light work between the ages of 13 to 15.

 

Forced labour

In LKE, no forced labour is used.

 

Remuneration and working hours

LKE complies with the respective national laws and regulations on working hours, wages and benefits.

 

Discrimination

LKE promotes diversity and tolerance with regard to race, religion, disability, sexual orientation and gender among its employees.

 

Occupational safety

The LKE Group complies with the applicable health and safety laws and regulations and ensures a safe and healthy working environment to prevent accidents and injuries.

 

Improper payments/bribery

The LKE Group observes international anti-corruption standards as laid down in the "Global Compact" of the United Nations and local anti-corruption and bribery laws. In particular, the supplier may not offer services, gifts or benefits to LKE employees that influence the personal conduct of employees in terms of the company's activity.

 

Environment

The LKE Group complies with all applicable environmental laws, regulations and standards and implements an effective system to identify and eliminate potential environmental hazards.

 

Dialogue with business partners

The LKE Group conveys the principles listed and previously described in detail in the Code of Practice to his subcontractors and other business partners who are involved in the delivery of products and services described in the main contract. LKE encourages these parties to based their actions on the same standards.

 

The LKE Group declares that it is responsible for the control of its own supply chain. We further declare that we will support suppliers of goods and services in the performance of their contractual obligations arising under this agreement with the supplier, in the compliance to ethical standards, human rights, occupational safety and environmental standards. Any breach of the obligations listed in the Code of Practice for suppliers is considered a fundamental breach of contract by the supplier.
